1. How does the declining cash balance program work?
After selection a plan and filling out a contract at the Housing Office, and account will be set up for your use in the food service. Your account number will be on the ID card which you will receive the Information Desk. The ID card must be presented to the cashier each time you eat. The amount of purchase will be subtracted from your balance. When you reach zero, your credit is used up.

2. What things should I consider when choosing the proper food service plan?
Eating Habits: Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner, Breakfast-Dinner, Lunch-Dinner, Snack frequently or seldom

3. Is there an advantage to buying the larger plan?
Yes. Free credit is given with Plans 3 and 4. The credit dollars are available only when purchasing plans at registration.

4. Who is required to buy a plan?
All residence hall students will be required to be on a foodservice plan.

5. What do I do if I lose my ID card?
Report the loss at the Student Center Information Desk. ID replacements can issued at a replacement fee of $10.

6. May I transfer my balance to the next semester?
Sorry, no. Your plan must be used in the semester it was purchased.

7. What happens if I run out of money?
More money may be added to your account by contacting the Food Service Office. Bonus dollars are also added in the amount of 10% to your account for any money added at this time. Our locations also accept cash, checks, and credit cards as form of payment.

8. May I use my plan to pay for meals for my guests?
Yes, you may pay for an unlimited number of visitor’s meals using your plan. Also, be careful, you might run out of money a bit earlier than you thought, but don’t worry, you can always add more if needed.

9. May a friend or family member use my ID card to buy food?
No, only you may use your ID card to buy food or access your account. This is one of many ways we protect you and your money from any unauthorized purchases.

10. May I change my plan level?
All changes in food service plans should be made through the Housing Office in the first 3 weeks of the semester. The Housing Office is located at the Information Desk located in the Student Center.
